Interior car tips using mothers products

INTERIOR SURFACES----It is one of my most used interior car tips.Use specific products for specific applications.

----For plastic, rubber, and vinyl use Mothers protectant. If you have faded vinyl or rubber make it look new with, back to black.

----For carpet, fabrics, and upholstery use Mothers carpet and upholstery, which reveals the true deep color.

----For leather, clean it using Mothers leather cleaner, then protect it using Mothers leather conditioner.

----Before the initial cleaning I like to use compressed air and blow all dust out of the vehicle, use moderation and make sure all the doors are open.

GLASS MANTENANCE----If washing interior tinted windows, never use glass cleaner with ammonia in it, Mothers glass cleaner is ammonia free and will not hurt the tint on windows.

----The ultra soft microfiber detail towl works very good on wiping windows down. Use one side for initial wiping and the other side for that dry clear look.

----Before cleaning any glass use a sharp new razor and scrape any sap, tar or old decals off.

How to Clean Your Car With Home Ingredients

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit
Have you ever been annoyed by the long time consumed by the maintenance and cleaning of your car? Keeping your car clean will help it last longer but the products specially designed to clean them are very expensive. So, this article will let you know about how to clean your car effectively, with the products you would already have.

Steps

  1. Make a cleaner for the interior of your car, by mixing the equal amounts of water and rubbing alcohol. Spray the mixture on surfaces and then wipe them down with used fabric softener sheets which won't leave lint behind.
  2. Sprinkle some baking soda in your car's ashtray, which will absorb the smells and odours and keep your car smell fresh.
  3. Baby wipe the glove compartment of your car.
  4. For the outside, rinse the car down to loosen up all the dirt. If you want a cleanser that will cut grease and grime, try shampoo. It's made to clean dirty, oily hair gently. Mix 2 teaspoons into a 2 gallon bucket of water. Make sure that you wash with a gentle cloth. Plus, a clean dust-mop is a great scrubber for the roof and hood because it will easily reach where you can't.
  5. Clean road grime off windshield wipers with rubbing alcohol.
  6. Install a car perfume on the dashboard of the car if you want the fragrance to be maintained. You can put a car spray in your car's glove compartment, so whenever you smell bad odour again, you can spray your car.
  7. Now, see the changes in your car, it would be very clean and shiny, as well as the interior's bad odour would have been changed into fragrance.

Tips

  • Clean the windshield and windows, as well as any other glass surfaces, last.

Warnings

  • Never use a room spray in your car, as it will make visible spots or shapes on your car's seat covers.
  • Do not use too much rubbing alcohol, when making a mixture for the interior, or water.
  • Do not try to clean your car's tires through the used clothes or any other thing, as it would not affect your car's tires in any way. It is better to have them cleaned by a service/tuning stations.

LEATHER MAINTENANCE----Use Mothers Leather cleaner to do the initial cleaning then follow it with Mothers leather conditioner.

----It is best to spray the protectant onto a towl and not directly on to the leather, you might get over spray or it might soak the leather to much.

----If you are not using Mothers product, just make sure that the product you are using doesn't leave a shine, you want the leather to look flat but have a deep luster.

FABRIC UPHOLSTERY AND CARPET MAINTENANCE----Use Mothers carpet and upholstery cleaner to clean but be careful that you don't saturate the fabric to much.

----When drying your car use an electric heater, a hair dryer or a safer alternative is a fan.

----IMPORTANT----A good interior car tip is to make sure the vehicle is dry before you close it up or it will have a cheap mildewed smell in it.

----Wash the mats with high preasure water and let it drip dry.
